One person died in a crash on the Indiana Toll Road Monday.

It happened about 9 a.m. Monday just west of the bypass exit.

WNDU reports a semi was attempting to leave the shoulder with its flashers on, but a van hit it. The driver of the van was killed.

No one else was hurt, but traffic slowed to a crawl as the left lane of the eastbound Toll Road was blocked.
