The man accused of barricading himself in a South Bend home Monday has been denied bail in a separate case.

Corey Roddy had been wanted out of Cass County, Michigan on two criminal sexual conduct with a minor charges. He was arraigned in that county’s courtroom Tuesday afternoon after St. Joseph County decided not to file charges against Roddy for the barricade incident, which lasted about four hours Monday.

A judge ordered Roddy held in Cass County without bond due to his past criminal history, along with the situation with South Bend police on Monday.

Roddy barricaded himself in a South Bend home Monday after officers from Michigan tried to serve a warrant. Officers say they heard the sound of Roddy loading a gun and backed off. The standoff lasted from 9:30 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m., when a 13-year-old that was in the home with Roddy walked out, followed by Roddy himself.
