Two arrests made in recent shootings in South Bend

South Bend Police have made arrests connected to two shootings which took place last week.

It was back on Tuesday, April 17, when officers were called to the 1300 block of King Street where they found a 17-year-old victim shot multiple times. On Thursday, detectives detained a juvenile believed responsible. The suspect was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.

Late Friday afternoon, officers were called to the 1600 block of Illinois Street a 37 year old woman was shot. The same day, detectives arrested Jessica Walton in connection to the shooting.

Police credit to the community, detectives, patrol, and Crime Scene Technicians for the arrests.
