Hoosier Lottery prize claimed by workers of closing Bristol plant

Six coworkers at Chassix in Bristol became a little richer Thursday after claiming their winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 that was set to expire Monday.

The Hoosier Lottery reports that the group, who play the lottery together, have purchased every one of their tickets from the 7-Eleven on Vistula Street.

When the news came out that the ticket purchased in November was set to expire soon, one of workers, Jorge Dominguez, checked all of his tickets again with his daughter’s encouragement.

The Hoosier Lottery said each group member won just over $8,000 before taxes.

The timing of the win is very good, considering the company they work for is closing its doors in the next few months.
