LimeBike tests electric scooters at IUSB

Limebike took its electric scooters on a test drive at IUSB this past week.

South Bend is being considered as Limebike’s next city to get the electric scooters, which they call the Lime-S. The electric scooters reach 14 miles-per-hour.

One business owner on U.S. 23 near Notre Dame told ABC 57 he was excited, but also concerned about potential misuse.

There’s a popular hashtag on Twitter called #ScootersBehavingBadly that features pictures of the scooters being mishandled and left in odd places.

Despite Thursday’s debut at IUSB, the scooters aren’t yet available in South Bend.
