Thousands of Honeywell retirees to lose company health care coverage

A number of Honeywell retirees are about to see cuts in their healthcare.

Honeywell has announced a plan that will cut healthcare coverage for more than 4,700 retirees across the country.

The South Bend Tribune reports that the company announced that they intend to terminate coverage on July 31, in an attempt to keep the company competitive.

A number of retirees say they are uncertain how they will be able to pay for their prescriptions in the future without the coverage.

Honeywell operates an aerospace division in South Bend.
