The murder trial for a South Bend man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend has begun.

34-year-old Gregory Jones was charged with murder after 33-year-old Kenyatta Kasha McCurry was found dead in her home in March 2017.

This after McCurry’s eight year old daughter was found wandering alone with no shoes near the King Gyros on South Michigan…carrying her 1-year-old sister. The South Bend Tribune reports she left to find help for her mother, who was found “bloody” in bed.

Jones was eventually charged with murder and his then-girlfriend, 18-year-old Tiara Miller, was also charged with assisting a criminal after she allegedly gave police a false alibi for Jones. Miller’s case is still pending.
