South Bend man arrested following Lowe’s shooting

One person is in custody after a shooting at the Lowe’s on Ireland Road in South Bend.

It happened at about 6:30 Tuesday evening in the parking lot of Lowe’s.

19-year-old Jezia  Easton allegedly got into an argument and a fight with a 38-year-old South Bend man. This lead to Easton allegedly shooting the victim in the leg and taking off with a second person. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury.

Easton and the second person were later stopped by officers and brought in for questioning. The second person was released without charges.

Easton is facing two firearm charges, two battery charges, and a criminal recklessness charge.

South Bend Police also thank the community for helping lead them to Easton.
