Whether you previously reported damage or not after February’s historic flooding, you can get information about assistance now at a Disaster Recovery Center that opened in Elkhart Friday morning.

The center is in the Lincoln Center on Oakland Avenue, and has information about FEMA programs, other disaster assistance, and direct information about the services that might be available to you.

Representatives will also be on hand from the Small Business Association and other agencies.

If you’re seeking assistance, you should be sure to have documentation of your damages, including receipts and pictures, and bring a valid I.D. with you.

The center will open seven days a week until further notice.
