A longtime officer with the St. Joseph County Police Department has been charged in connection with a domestic disturbance incident.

At approximately 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, police were called to a home on Thorn Road where they encountered Lonny Foresman, 50, of North Liberty, who was allegedly involved in a fight with his wife and other family members, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

Foresman was arrested as a result of the investigation. The Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges Saturday afternoon including two counts of intimidation and one count of domestic battery.
