A Dowagiac man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was run over by a tractor.

Cass County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Roth Road near Dewey Lake in Wayne Township around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, where they found the 59-year-old man.

The victim was operating the tractor on his property when he fell from the vehicle and was run over by one of the wheels.

The man was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment.
