Concord High School’s softball team may have lost their regional, but they won the hearts of their opponents at Penn.

On Tuesday, Penn beat Concord 10-0 to win a regional title.

Penn junior Lilly Thorn’s father Steve died on the day of the Sectional Championship on Saturday. In response, the entire Concord softball team presented black bows to Thorn after the game and shared hugs with Thorn and the rest of the Penn team.

Thorn and the Kingsmen play Lake Central in West Lafayette Saturday.
