Six-week old baby’s death in Berrien County investigated as suspicious death

Police are investigating a suspicious death of a six-week old baby in Berrien County.

First responders went to a home west of Coloma on Fikes Road south of Coloma Road a little before 6:30 a.m. Thursday. This after getting a call of an infant who wasn’t breathing. The child was dead by the time paramedics arrived. An autopsy is set for Friday.

Meanwhile, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau is investigating the death and is considering it suspicious.
