A hearing for a Granger veterinarian accused of animal abuse has been suspended until July.

Jennifer Perusek is accused of animal cruelty and fraud during her time at the now-closed Animal Clinic of Granger.

She appeared for a two-day hearing Wednesday and Thursday in Indianapolis, but her attorneys still wanted to interview more witnesses. The South Bend Tribune reports the Indiana Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners also decided it needed more time to decide on the 98-count civil complaint.

The hearing will continue on July 11, with the board hoping to make a decision that day.

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill filed the complaint, which details many alleged acts of animal abuse from late 2011 to 2016.
