Berrien County elected official killed in car crash

The victim in a deadly car crash in Berrien County has been identified as an elected county official.

The crash happened on Thursday, June 14, on M-63 near Eamon Road.

The driver, identified as Lori Jarvis, went off the road and struck a garage, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

Jarvis was first elected to the office of Register of Deeds in Berrien County in 2001.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Friday.
