An 89-year-old LaPorte man was killed in a crash on Saturday, June 16.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection of CR 350 North and CR 450 East, around 8:30 a.m. where they found Donald Machler, who was one of the drivers, dead.

So far, there is no word on the circumstances that led to the crash. An open investigation is still underway.
