Walkers and runners alike can Storm the Stadium at Notre Dame on Independence Day.

The signature event is a stair climbing challenge, where the fittest can test their endurance by running every single aisle of stairs at the stadium. That’s 3,418 steps in total between the lower and upper bowls.

You can also opt for the short climb, which consists of the relatively-shorter 1,778 steps in the lower bowl.

For the rest of us, there’s also a one-third mile stadium walk available.

Fees range from $25 to $40, with an extra $10 fee if you want to post an honor sign for a veteran or military service member on the video board.

Proceeds benefit Notre Dame-enrolled veterans and their families, along with active duty students, ROTC students, and their dependents.
