South Bend man stabbed, then has vehicle stolen

Police say a South Bend man was stabbed and then had his vehicle stolen.

It happened shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday on South Mayflower south of Sample Street.

South Bend Police say the 23-year-old victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a wound to his arm. He told police that he was in his car when he was approached, then stabbed in the arm.

To make matters worse, his beige 1998 Toyota Corolla was stolen shortly after the stabbing.

A possible suspect has been interviewed, but no charges have been filed yet. If you have information on the stabbing, contact the police department at 235-9201 or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
