South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is about to become a published author.

W.W. Norton and Company announced this week that it will publish Buttigieg’s book, titled “Shortest Way Home: One Mayor’s Challenge And A Model For America’s Future.”

According to the book’s description, it promises to tell the story of how South Bend has become a blueprint for the future of American renewal. It also promises to detail how Buttigieg came out as gay and found “love and acceptance” after returning from Afghanistan and leaving a business career to become Mayor in 2011.

The book clocks in at 352 pages and will be available in hardcover when it comes out in February 2019.

  1. What?!?!? This is his idea of a future?!? #40 on the worse places to live in America and a violent crime every night? Get rid of this loser and make South Bend Great Again!

  2. The Shortest Way Home: In an ambulance after getting shot? C’mon mayor, clean up the streets! You’ll have plenty of time for writing when you aren’t responsible for managing a dirty, dangerous city.

  3. Not even close to qualified for the job of President. It’s hard to believe that Pete has even less experience than I do in governing. When it comes to swallowing hot dogs at Nathan’s we are about equally qualified. I should know, my name is Barack Obama.
