Man arrested for breaking into elderly Michigan City woman’s apartment

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Michigan City after police say he broke into an elderly woman’s apartment.

The 71-year-old woman told police she woke up, on Wednesday, June 20, to KeJuan Harrison, standing over her, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

She said he grabbed her, but she was able to get away and call police from a neighbor’s home, ABC 57 reported.

Investigators believe Harrison got in through a window. and that he might have re-entered the home a second time on Wednesday.

Police tracked him down with help from a K-9 officer.

Harrison was arrested on an initial charge of burglary.
