Drive-by shooting victim jailed on child molestation charge

The man who police say ran off after his car was shot at on Wednesday, June 20, in South Bend, has been arrested.

Raymond Dunlap, 36, was taken into custody for vandalism, a charge that was dropped on Thursday, but he remains in jail on a child molestation charge, according the 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

That, after the shooting in the 600 block of South 30th Street.

Dunlap got out of his car and chased the SUV after somebody inside that vehicle fired the shots. Dunlap’s four year old girl was in the backseat, but was not harmed.

Details about the the circumstances surrounding Dunlap’s molestation charge has not yet been released.
