Granger man dies after boating crash in Cass County

Sad news as the Granger man who was injured in a boating accident last weekend, has now died.

It happened Saturday morning just before 9 o’clock on Big Fish Lake in Marcellus.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department originally said 55 year-old Michael Mondovich suffered an apparent “severe medical condition” before crashing his boat into a pier and two other boats. They now believe alcohol may have been involved in the crash.

The Sheriffs office announced that Mondovich died of his injuries Tuesday morning. An autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of his death.
