South Bend man sentenced in federal court for having stolen guns

A South Bend man is going to federal prison for being in possession of stolen firearms.

23-year-old Charles D’Angelo Lockett was sentenced this week. He was arrested in Wabash County after an incident where he hit a parked car with his vehicle.

Court documents say he led officers on a 15-minute chase and was throwing items out of his vehicle as he sped to over 90 miles per hour.

After a brief foot chase that followed, Lockett was arrested and officers found two stolen guns and drugs in his car.
