Sen. Donnelly seeks to protect military families from predatory loans

Senator Joe Donnelly is among a group of 49 Senators urging President Trump’s Administration to protect soldiers and their families from abusive financial practices.

Donnelly, who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, says it’s important that the government not abandon its duty to service members and their families under the Military Lending Act. The Senators wrote a letter expressing their concern after the Administration moved last week to suspend Military Lending Act examinations.

The Act, a bipartisan effort put in place in 2006, safeguards military families from predatory loans and other credit pitfalls.
