New life for former Del Monte plant in Plymouth

The former Del Monte plant in Plymouth is coming back to life, with a new employer bringing jobs back to Marshall County.

Winona Building Products is expanding their operations and making an effort to help the area gain back some of the jobs it lost when Bay Valley Foods and Del Monte pulled out of the area last year, WNDU reports.

The incoming company, which makes a backing for insulation products, will invest nine million dollars into the building to support four manufacturing lines by 2022, WNDU reports.

40 new jobs will happen by the beginning of next year, with more than 150 expected to be hired by 2022.

220 jobs disappeared when the factory closed.
