South Bend Firefighters battled a house fire on the city’s south side on Thursday, Aug. 23.
Crews were called to the blaze around 4 a.m. at a home on Donmoyer Avenue near Carroll Street, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
Everybody in the house got out safely.
It’s believed the fire began in a wall in the basement.
The investigation into the cause is underway.
The fire is under control. It was in a basement wall of a home.
There were people inside at the time of the fire but everyone got out okay.
