Man injured in Friday morning shooting in South Bend

A man was injured in a drive-by shooting early Friday morning.

Police say it happened near the intersection of Kenwood and Fremont in South Bend just before 1:30 a.m., and when they arrived on the scene, they found a man in his mid-20s. He had been shot but was conscious and breathing, and he was transported to Memorial Hospital and his wounds were said to not be life-threatening.
