South Bend School bus caught on camera under railroad crossing arm

A South Bend school bus driver is being placed on leave after the district was shown a picture taken by a concerned driver that showed the bus stopped too close to a railroad crossing.

A concerned viewer sent 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57 a picture of a South Bend school bus, sitting under a railroad crossing.

He told ABC 57 the bus was just sitting there, close to the tracks as a South Shore train whizzed by. He says, the bus didn’t budge.
