Paw Paw woman charged in connection with torture, death of stepdaughter

A woman in Paw Paw has been charged in the torture and murder of her young stepdaughter.

Kate George, 31, was charged with murder on Wednesday, Sep. 5.

Michigan State Police troopers were called to a home in Almena Township a report of a three year-old girl who wasn’t breathing.

The child was George’s stepdaughter.

George was charged after evidence suggested the child suffered abuse and torture.
