Elkhart Comic Con returns

The 2nd annual event hits Elkhart this weekend, and supports both the city and the Hall of Heroes Superhero Museum.

The museum, a fixture in Elkhart for more than ten years, is still raising funds to move into a bigger location to house it’s collection of comic books and related memorabilia.

The event drew more than three times as many attendees last year, and has expanded across the street from The Lerner Theater this year, creating a festival atmosphere that made it necessary to move it from spring to early fall.

There will be vendors, cosplay contests, and more at the event Saturday and Sunday. Allen Stewart, the curator of the museum, spoke with Michiana’s Morning News Friday morning about the event.
