Man shot on South Michigan Street in South Bend

A man in South Bend was shot in the shoulder.

The shooting took place around 11 o’clock on Tuesday, Sep. 18, in the 2500 block of South Michigan Street, which is south of Ewing.

South Bend Police said two people got into an argument, which escalated to a shooting in the parking lot of Ellis Auto Sales.

The man who was shot was hospitalized in critical condition at the hospital.

Police are speaking with a possible suspect.
