Man shot by police officer on Lake Street in Warsaw

A man was shot by a Warsaw police officer. It happened on Wednesday evening, Sep. 26, after officers received a call about an unwanted person at a home.

Police encountered the suspect on Lake Street.

A struggle ensued and an officer attempted to use his taser, and then fired his gun, hitting the suspect in the arm.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment. The officer was not hurt.

Indiana State Police are investigating the incident.
