Man suspected of false call to 911 about gunman at Eau Claire High School arrested

The man sought by Berrien County Sheriff’s deputies for allegedly making a false phone call about a gunman at Eau Claire High School has been arrested.

Police stopped Justin Bashore, 32, on Napier Avenue on Wednesday night, Sep. 26.

Bashore was taken into custody on a number of charges, including false reporting and resisting and obstructing.

It was back on September 7 when the phony call was made to 9-1-1 about a teenager with a rifle in one of the school’s restrooms.
