One person arrested, search for second after attempted home invasion in Berrien County

One suspect has been arrested in an attempted home invasion in Bainbridge Township, but police are still looking for a second suspect.

The crime happened shortly before midnight Wednesday night in the 2000 block of M-140, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

The homeowner reported that he’d heard noises outside the home and investigated with his gun. He confronted the two at a window, and one of them pointed a gun at him, the sheriff’s department reported.

The man in custody is a 37 year-old from Van Buren County.
