The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team is on a roll which has skyrocketed them into the Top Five of the AP Poll.

Three teams in the Top 8 suffered losses Saturday, a big day of change in the poll that saw 8 ranked teams lose, including Notre Dame’s latest opponent, Virginia Tech.

The Top 4 remained the same, with Alabama in the top spot followed by Georgia, Ohio State and Clemson.

The Irish jumped to #5.

On the other end of the poll, Michigan State dropped out of the Top 25 for the first time this season after their second consecutive loss.
