A man is being held in a LaPorte County Jail after allegedly attacking security officers at a Michigan City courthouse.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.
Joshua Duncan, 37, of Michigan City, attacked two courthouse security officers, according to authorities.
Duncan arrived to the courthouse and after entering the security check point, Duncan punched a deputy in the nose without warning. Duncan then physically assaulted another deputy, who deployed his taser, authorities said.
Duncan is being held in the LaPorte County Jail, on two preliminary counts of battery of a law enforcement officer, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
Both deputies were taken to the hospital for treatment.
One deputy suffered a severe nose injury while the other received minor scratches in the assault.
