Man struck by train on Main Street in Mishawaka

A man was taken to the hospital after he was struck by a train.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, at the Norfolk Southern tracks on Main Street in Mishawaka.

Investigators say the man suffered serious injuries to his head and arm.

Police believe he was walking with his head down and talking on his cell phone when he was struck.
