The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a rash that ended with a semi hitting a house.

Deputies were called around 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, to a home near the intersection of State Road 120 and County Road 375 East.

A semi driven by a 25-year-old Iowa man had been westbound on State Road 120 when it went off the road, hitting a tree. The impact split the semi’s trailer in half, and the truck continued its momentum into the south side of the home and a detached garage.

The residents were inside at the time, but neither they nor the truck’s driver were hurt. Police are still looking into why the semi went off the road.
