South Bend woman arrested after hit-and-run crash in Shipshewana

A South Bend woman was arrested and charged for allegedly smoking marijuana prior to operating a vehicle and taking off from the scene of a crash.

An officer with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department conducted the traffic stop around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, on U.S. 20 in Shipshewana, Indiana.

Jamie R. Parker took off from the scene of an accident, according to authorities, as reported by 95.3 MNC’s news partners at ABC 57.

Parker allegedly possessed marijuana and had been smoking it prior to driving, according to investigators.

Parker was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated — controlled substance, possession of marijuana and leaving the scene of an accident, ABC 57 reported.
