South Shore Line to offer free rides for veterans & active duty military through Monday

Allveterans are invited to ride the South Shore Line for free through the weekend of November 9-11, 2018, and on the government observance of Veterans Day on Nov. 12.

“We are honored to serve those who have served our country by offering veterans and active duty military personnel, including reservists, free rides on the South Shore Line in celebration of Veterans Day,” commented Nicole Barker, Director of Capital Investment and Implementation at the South Shore Line.

As train personnel walk through the train, those who qualify for the free rides should let them know that they are a veteran or active military personnel, and they will provide a ride at no charge. No identification will be required.

On Monday, Nov. 12, trains will follow the regular weekday train schedule.

Up to three children 13 years of age and under may ride free with each veteran on off- peak weekday and all weekend trains.
