Woman, 21, found shot on W. LaSalle Avenue in South Bend

A 21-year-old woman was hurt in a shooting in South Bend.

Officers with the South Bend Police Department were sent to the 600 block of W. LaSalle Ave. around 2:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, where they found the victim with a wound to the neck.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The shooting took place at a different location which was later found to be in the 500 block of LaPorte, according to South Bend Police.

Officers learned the victim was with a male acquaintance at the time of the shooting. The male is the suspect in the shooting.
