A man who was wanted in several states is in custody after a police chase in South Bend.

Adam Spencer faces a number of charges after a chase that began as a domestic violence call at a home on Poppy Road, just south of Western Avenue.

Police responded and Spencer drove off in an RV, leading them on a chase that ended nine miles later on Ireland Road.

Police said the chase involved the bypass at one point, and that Spencer nearly hit an officer during the pursuit.

It was discovered after his arrest that he had a number of active warrants in other states.
