Elkhart County Police investigating two recent robberies

Police in Elkhart County are looking into a pair of robbery cases.

The first happened on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Overlook Apartments in the 58000 block of Ravenwood Boulevard. According to police, the victim, a 37 year-old woman, was getting out of her vehicle when a man who was armed with a gun stole her purse. The suspect was described as black, about 5’5″ tall with a medium build. He left in a minivan.

The most recent incident happened in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 30, at a home on County Road 21 in Elkhart County. According to investigators, a family friend staying at the home fired a single shot which scared the suspects away. It’s not known if anything was taken. There was no report of any injuries.
