UPDATE: Two people were placed under arrest on Tuesday, Dec. 4, in connection with the armed robbery.
ORIGINAL STORY: The investigation continues into an armed robbery of a Marathon gas station near Koontz Lake.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3.
The Starke County Sheriff says four men, armed with weapons and wearing bulletproof vests, were seen going inside the station on State Road 23.
The suspects fired several gunshots, then left with some cash, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
People living nearby were advised to lock the doors to their homes and cars until further notice.
There was no word of any suspects or arrests.
No injuries were reported.
