Son of Noble County Sheriff dies in crash

The son of the Noble County Sheriff was killed in a crash.

Indiana State Troopers, Noble County Deputies, Albion Police and Kendallville Police were called to County Road 415 North just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, on reports that a car had crashed into a tree east of County Road 1000 East.

An investigation revealed a black 2015 Jeep was traveling westbound on CR 415 North when for an unknown reason, it left the roadway, striking the tree on the north side of the road.

The driver was later identified as Andrew Harp, 30, the son of Noble County Sheriff Douglas Harp. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Toxicology results are pending, and Andrew Harp’s exact cause and manner of death will be released at a later time.
