Rash of burglaries, break-ins reported in Mishawaka & South Bend

A number of burglaries ad break-ins were reported in Mishawaka on Monday afternoon, Dec. 10, and those burglaries happened within a short radius of each other.

The first break-in happened around 12 p.m. on East Fourth Street, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57. The suspect took off with several items.

Another burglary happened about 40 minutes later on Oak Street.

A third break-in in took place on the 300 block of Edgewater Drive.

Items taken from the homes included jewelry, electronics, and gift cards, ABC 57 reported.

Fingerprint evidence is being examined.

A series of burglaries took place in South Bend, on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m., there were three burglaries reported. Two took place in the 200 block of E. Pokagon and one in the 200 block of E. Angela, according to South Bend Police.

Officers were sent when an alarm in one of the homes was tripped.

Items taken appear to be electronics, cash and jewelry.
