Police use Apple watch to locate Mentone man accused of vehicle thefts

A Mentone man is in custody after police used an Apple watch to find him.

31-year-old Aaron Guyberson is accused of theft, burglary, forgery, and possession of meth.

Police say Guyberson was behind four vehicle thefts and one garage theft that happened in the Mentone area this month.

In one of the vehicle thefts he allegedly stole an Apple watch. Court documents say Guyberson turned on the watch, which allowed authorities to track his location.

Officers found over 7 grams of methamphetamine on Guyberson during the arrest.
