Second suspect arrested in McConnell Family Boathouse murder

A second individual has been charged with murder in the June 2018 shooting of Eric Phillips.

Phillips was found in the parking lot of the McConnell Family Boathouse on Northside Boulevard in South Bend.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Tastacia Parker, 23, with murder.

Parker was arrested by the United States Marshals Service in Fort Wayne on Monday, Jan. 14. She remains in custody in the Allen County Jail.

Elbert Briggs, 24, was also previously charged with Murder in Phillips’ homicide. He
has a record date of March 28 and a trial date of April 22.
