A slushy and icy mess to start Wednesday

Everything has switched over to rain, but the roads will be slow to melt on Wednesday morning, Jan. 23.

The main roads are mostly slushy, but many side streets are still sheets of ice. We’ll hold onto light to moderate rain throughout the morning, but changing back over a wintry mix and snow for the afternoon as temps fall again later today. Be cautious again tomorrow morning as everything will be frozen again.

Afternoon snow chances return on Thursday with plenty of other snow chances for the rest of the forecast. Temperatures takes a couple of dives as well, into the single digits to wrap up the work week, then again next week.

Wednesday: Cloudy with rain showers changing back to a wintry mix and snow this afternoon. Morning high of 38 with falling temps throughout the day.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of L.E. snow and wintry mix. Low of 15.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with PM scattered snow showers. High of 23.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of AM and midday L.E. snow showers. Cold. Highs around 10.
