Deadly crash investigations underway near Wakarusa, Cass County

A 24-year-old man from Wakarusa was killed in a crash on Beech Road. It happened around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, north of Wakarusa.

Officers say the vehicle left the road and rolled over several times.

They say the driver was thrown from the vehicle into the cold. He was pronounced dead at the scene.


One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Cass County.

Police say it happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 on M-62, when a 24 year-old man lost control of his truck, crossed the center line, and was struck by an eastbound truck.

Two other people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
